| I have practised Yoga for many years and it continues to be a journey of bringing balance to the body, mind and spirit.
In the early days, I was mostly self-taught through extensive reading, study and practice. Then as my awareness grew and I wanted to learn more, I discovered the Sivandana Yoga Centre in New York. |

| My extensive formal training there helped me perfect my Yoga Asanas (exercise) and introduced me to the other aspects of yoga. This led me to complete my teacher training certificate in South India at the Sivananda Vedanta Dhawanthari Ashram in 2005.
Since then I have built a practice in North West Crete (Chania and Almirida) where I teach Sivananda Yoga and also have classes on the 'five Tibetans' (yogic exercise). I use guided meditation with deep relaxation colour, sound and chanting to enable the student to discover and awaken their own Charkas (energy field). Crete is the perfect setting for yoga because the nature and energy of the Island helps us to connect and balance with our true selves. My own personal practice continues to deepen with Vedic chanting and meditation and I will be visiting India (winter 2007) to further my studies in Nada and Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of sound) and Meditation and Vedanta. ******************************* |
